There are many online travel sites and agencies that sell in the masses and will make a business selling properties that we may never recommend just to make the sale. We cannot compete with those companies. We feel we offer a unique service and our focus is completely different. We won't sell you just anything. Our goal is to listen to what experience you are looking for and what type of destination you want. We will then share our personal travel experience, travel knowledge and make recommendations accordingly. We believe our prices are very competitive and that our expertise is valuable. Our goal is to build a relationship with you and to become your travel advisor. We do not invest a lot of money in advertising as we believe our money is best spent in investing the time with our clients and in our travels to maintain a strong portfolio of fantastic properties to offer you, The Traveler.

We will price match and beat any direct competitor pricing for the same product if we carry it and can book it. It is our promise to you. A direct competitor is any other travel agency or the hotel directly.
HOW DO WE GET PAID?
I get asked this question a lot and it's a very good question. By law if you booked with a licensed travel agency, that supplier, hotel or car rental company has to pay us a commission of the sale. This does not affect your price in any way. You will be paying the same amount no matter what. If you decide to book direct and not use a travel agent, the hotel, supplier or car rental company keeps that commission as it is built into your price. So why not use a knowledgeable travel agent, someone who is working on your behalf. If you should have any issue, you have 1 person to call. You have a dedicated person who's #1 concern is your experience and satisfaction. Island Travel Company is going to be there for you before, during and after your trip. I am not personally trying to move inventory (like many of your online booking tools featuring "steals and deals") I am trying to create a trusted relationship so that you will want to book with Island Travel again.
WHY DO WE REQUIRE A PLAN TO GO DEPOSIT?
This is something we had to implement after a few years of being in the business. I found many people weren’t interested in doing the research and work required to weed thru all the internet options. They were overwhelmed with trying to figure out which property was actually nice and which one was the best fit for them and their family. Many callers would just want to pick my brain after they learned of my portfolio of resort and hotel knowledge. Because I am actively traveling all the time I am able to personally experience the resorts I am selling firsthand. My business wants to build a working and trusted relationship with my clients and not be a free source of information so others can seek a company offering a product that doesn’t offer any service at all. My flat fee of $150 is required on all FIT trips. And our wedding groups start at $1100 per wedding. We will provide you with the best possible service from start to finish and will treat your trip as if it were our own.
